Established in 1997, Maren Renovations manages all phases of construction-from demolition, to concrete and masonry, to mechanical systems, to framing and finish carpentry-delivering high-quality construction and dedicated customer service in every phase of a project. In 2002 The Maren Group received Markhams' Building Excellence Award. The Heritage Markham Awards of Excellence is a program initiated in 2000, Heritage Markham's 25th Anniversary year. The committee decided to give awards to celebrate the best heritage works completed in the community over the previous 25 years. Since then, Heriage Markham has been holding an annual awards ceremony to recognize & celebrate excellence in heritage conservation by honouring some of the best heritage works in the community which were completed in the past year. In 2002 there were fourteen Heritage Markham Award of Excellence winners. In selecting the award winners Heritage Markham Committee considered all of the works that it had reviewed over the past year, and identified those projects which were considered the best in terms of design, implementation and were a good example for other projects which may arise in the future.

The Royal LePage Your Community Branch is Located in a historic home at 161 Main Street Unionville. This home (shown on the left) was originally built in circa 1875 for the McDowell family who used the house as a home and a shoe store. Over the years it was used for a home, barbershop, taxidermy and bakeshop. It was built in true Gothic Revile style with lots of Victorian gingerbread trim. When purchased by Royal Lepage, they asked The Maren Group to restore and renovate the property with a three storey edition at the rear.
